I have no prob at all with people having critter friends that they have space/time for but do have so many bitches about peoples filling up empty space in their lives with expensive emotional slaves. I NEVER want to hear about the $1500 hip surgery for almost dead suffering critter from someone who is up to their neck in credit card debt. I had outside cats(albeit a large farm) where they ate $Store food and never went to vet, as they had had initial shots. My niece, who is a vet tech at large university vet hospital freaked out and demanded to examine their teeth/claws/fur. They had sheds for shelter in subzero nights where mouses lived, bugs and weeds to eat if anything lacking in diet, spring to walk to if water frozen while I was gone. She said they were the healthiest felines she had ever seen.
Sure I like seeing dogs catching frisbee at local park or swimming in the river, but it nobody else's obligation to provide public amentities for what you should never have taken on of let breed in the first place.
