it's tough, man! Same boat but if your light goes out you let the darkness in. You CAN train your brain to be happy. Go walk. Exercise. Do something that makes you feel good. It might only be for a few minutes but like training your body to get strong, you can train your brain to get happy. I know. I did it. I do take zoloft but that's only so my brain doesn't rebel against me. As a friend's therapist told him, your brain lies. Don't listen to it. vote and keep hope. carry on.
It seems as though your problem is Spiritual, not mental. My suggestion is to seek out a Spiritual guide. We all have our 4 levels of health- spiritual, emotional, mental and physical. I believe that spirituality is the foundations for good health and when you have strong spiritual roots, it is a lot easier to regulate the other areas of your life.
Relying on others to achieve happiness is the wrong path to follow. Only YOU can make yourself happy.

I had a similar problem six years ago. Down and out was an understatement as I felt that I had a chemical instability. Since using cannabis, all of that went away and I have been able to regulate my weight. Coming from a guy who could be fine one day and barely make it out of bed the next - cannabis gave me my life back, and in fact removed my anxiety to a point where I now function normally in my job role as a trainer at a very busy company. Working where I’m at now would have been nearly impossible. So look into it.
