The explanation for how leftists take over formerly elite professions is that they set the standards too high. Seriously. Excessively high standards only select for cheaters, not talent, so quality drops and leftists fill up the institution. Blue pill conservatives who can't figure this out do the worst thing possible, which is to further increase standards and aid the left in its takeover. Law, medicine, and Ivy League professors were swamped by this phenomenon.

Conservatives have to learn when to reject elitism. They have to learn when to strategically use economic leftism. They have to learn how to dumb things down the right way, and not fall for the way the left does it, which is either deliberately botched or is a form of black propaganda designed to discredit the concept.

I worked as a Paramedic during Bush II and had a couple of trannies. This was years before all this crap took place and paramedics were all Conservative despite living in a very liberal area. Trannies always caused problems and the parameds would just be short with them, not kiss their ass and the shehes would get upset.

Perhaps the standards ARE too high. Perhaps we need 2nd and 3rd class BARGAIN healthcare???

Former dean sounds like someone who needs to be sued for malpractice.

I'm looking at the comments.

All U.S. Med schools could close and they'd simply hire foreign doctors.

-

a large number of women doctors don’t stay in the business all that long. They either quit completely or work part time in order to be at home with their children. Who could have seen that coming.

-

I write for 'big pharma', drug descriptions and such. There are so many medical issues in which race is very important. Many hypertension medications, for instance, do not produce good results in blacks. At the same dosage given to whites, they work too well in Asians, often causing hypotension as a result. That is only one of many, many examples. I've watched over the years as this info becomes harder and harder to find, and yes this includes info that many doctors reference.

-

When I got my MD in 1974, you could not find more conservative people. We where taught diagnostic methods based on examining the patient, little use of mechanical devices which weren't available at the time. The failure rate for my school was 30% the first year, when you failed you went to Nam as a medic and generally died.

I gave lectures at the school starting in 1984. At that time I found that the failure rate was zero. Then in 2001 I became an associate professor and was closer to the students. I found that they refused to read the text or even buy them. They got by with the least effort possible. If you tried to change the environment, the students would complain and you got fired. All evaluation of patients was by machine, treatment was dictated by computer programs which were often wrong.

-

As if the doctor situation isn't bad enough now, imagine what the next crop will be like.

-

medical mistakes kill over 200,000 people every year in the US

-

Having had a lot of interaction over the years, the vast majority of GP doctors have too little time to deal with anything more complex than the top 25 common illnesses. Specialists can only figure out maybe the top 50 illnesses in their field. If you are outside that, you are on your own.

In 10 years I full expect the majority of medicine to be practiced by AI, which can index symptoms, medical and travel history with likely diagnoses. GP doctors will go the way of the horse and buggy and all that will be left will be low education level RNP/medical assistants to feed symptoms into the AI and dole out medication prescriptions, and specialist doctors for more complex cases the AI cant figure out.

-

I received an email from the admin, with a concern. The issue? One of the medical students complained that my language was ‘too colonial’

-

My Doc and my dentist are both hard core conservatives and love President Trump. They both said they had to pretend to be liberals in med school or they would have never made it through. So 2 for 2 and I'll bet there are many more like them. These are young men in their 40's

-

I am in school to be a FNP i have been an RN for 18 years. My OBGYN course is laden with feminists theory and SJW policies. I see know how younger kids get brainwashed. Its maddening. My textbook even has a section on providing women exams to a man who identifies as a women.

Progressive policies once again hurting the very people they claim to want to help.
