then you should write it in your will beforehand. the state should not be able to decide when a citizen's life is worth living or not based on external evidence. for all we know, dementia patients experience "locked-in" syndrome, and you'd have us just kill them because they externally seem to desire death. excuses for murder, and not just that, but state sanctioned murder. no excuse justifies state sanctioned murder, because once you allow it, you will always tolerate it, even when the state one day decides you or someone you love is not worthy of life, for whatever reason there may be.

I see what the problem is now. The problem isn't the idea of state sanctioned murder.
The problem is the nature of the state, which is currently inherently evil.
