Being fat and being gay have nothing to do with each other. Every time I see some delusional fatass try to co-opt gay rights or another legitimate acceptance movement, it just sounds like "If we don't get what we want, why do those gays get to have what they want?"

Well, they start with this premise (" It’s a choice. (Never mind that diets have about exactly the same long-term success rates as ex-gay ministries.)") that being fat is not a choice. After that it's a series of dominoes, all resting on it. The #1 reason supporting it is "(fad) diets don't work", therefore, presumably, nothing can.
Diet(1) (ie, a special diet people go on for short period of time to lose weight) has totally overtaken the original and primary meaning of diet(2) (ie, what people eat). Say "diet" to someone, what is the first thing they will think of? Eating normally (balanced and in appropriate amounts) is not a diet(1).
It's like 1984. Words mean things we agree on, making communication possible. So when you change the meaning to be ambiguous or even opposite, you pervert language.

I've seen that kind of pro-FA sentiment in magazines like Queerty. One FPH poster had a pic of an FA talk and donut iconography at an LGBT event. It fucking sucks. We need more of doctors arguing with FAs instead of letting it go unchallenged and we need more people like Meme Roth because, in current environments like that, you're considered evil for being honest about what damn near everyone prefers.

What rights does a fat person not have that thin people enjoy?
Voting? No, they can vote.
Expression? No, they can legally say whatever they want.
Petition? They can do that, too.
Marry? There are no laws preventing this.
Worship? You're free to follow whatever religious conventions you prefer, just like anyone else.
Travel? Unless you're awaiting trial or convicted of a crime, you can come and go as you please.
Carry a weapon? Unless you have a felony record, you're subject to the same rules as thin people.
What specific rights do they not have?

These are some good questions. Pity the hams won't answer honestly.

Brown gay cis male checking in here (announcing that ironically). This is what ENRAGES me about the fat movement. They think they know oppression? Just because they breathe harder and sweat more? FUCK you, you fat shit! Have you never read a fucking history book? Do you KNOW what brown people have been through and are going through? What gay people are going through? Have governments sanctioned the mistreatment or eradication of your kind?
