How would we even know, unless we could get way up high and see it for ourselves. Honestly it's perfectly reasonable to question what NASA tells us. There is no one you can trust to pre select the ideas that you are exposed to. They will always just try to hide things they disagree with.
You can calculate the shape of the earth using the curve on a cup of tea, if you have sensitive enough measurement equipment that is.
For the rest of us, a zoom lens and a flat body of water at least 5-10 kms long should do the trick.
There are even videos of these experiments online, using the great lakes; if you don't want to bother with the 5 minutes of math and a half day long experiment all on your own.
