Also, Gene Hackman is essentially playing the same character he did in The Conversation. A movie Francis Ford Coppola made back in the 70s about surveillance and psyops, but featuring pre-digital tech.

Watch out when downloading, there is another movie in 1974 called Conversation Piece. Almost snagged that one instead :)

"... always existed in a very precarious balance and when buildings start blowing up people's priorities tend to change."

Not "falling" and not "will do anything".

By that time I think there had been a few of that already happening (seems like something in the basement of one a few years before that).

That movie is my go to example to show how conspiracy theories shouldn't be dismissed out of hand. Almost everything Hackmans character said in the movie was considered insane conspiracy theory at the time. Time has shown almost all of it to be true.

when someone..especially lots of official people.. say something is a conspiracy theory I know its probably right.

Theres also a scene in one of the beverly hills cop movies, a lwyer scene where a compiter screen also shows 9/11... good luck finding it on youtube. They show it, but cut out the computer display section of the clip. Need the old VHS tape...

Watch The Conversation from 1974 then watch Enemy of the State. EotS is the unofficial sequel to it.
