I've never had this problem. What kind of maze are you moving into?
And... why is this post being downvoted?!?!?!?

Yeah, that stuff happens. But if you really want to complicate things, let a woman "help".
I don't have to move furniture with others, I'm not a girl. Hand truck + tie downs, move just about anything.
i have experence with this.
1.)dont muscle furniture. save that muscle for when its needed. avoid it if possible.
2.)with two people they should mirror their grip. It is extremely stupid to have, say, alternate position(grip) on a sofa and try to manuver it. it could cause the two individuals to 'fight' each other or one to cause the other to have a much weaker position.
3.) "hold on while i adjust my grip", "i have a good grip", "let me know if you need to adjust your grip", "i cant see in front of me", i also say "flaten it out"- meaning position it how it would sit on the floor (used when about to set a peice down). ,,, 'dose-e-doe' means "you swing around so the furniture spins" like when one end goes thru a doorway but the furniture needs to be rotated right after... Forget you are lifting something heavy and talk practical and slow with "rollt it 90 degrees your clockwise"
4.)go slow as fuck around doorways picture frames. move stuff out of the way but do do the gung-ho b.s. and attempt to appear as the superior furniture mover by being more careless and inconsiderate.
5.) take feet off furniture if you think it could help and it isnt 'risky'(some people idk) to do such... there is an ideal side to put the armrests relative to the left and right side of a doorway,, to surmarize moving a couch thru a door way, (a)youd hold the backrest higher than front feet of the furniture (b) and approach the door way slightly at an angle to place/slide/slot-it-in the front of an arm rest in the doorway, after the armrest makes it way in now you have more room to straighten the furniture out,, when the other armrest makes it way to the doorway have the couch angled so the armrest(even if the armrest is larger than the doorway) can de-slot/move thru/idk how to describe it
6.)you could use a blanket to rotate and slide furniture, for example, while it stands on an end in a confined place.
7.)always walk the path the furniture is going to go before moving it and if someone wants to micro manage just 'smile and nod' and quietly think where you will be able to reassess the next move.

Tip: always repeat what the other person said in your own words, or ask the other person to repeat what you said, before doing the move.
This trick is good in a lot of situation.
