Both are very totalitarian systems in their own way. In one view of politics, anarchy and libertarianism are on one side of a spectrum, while communism and fascism are on the other.

Yes, I understand how the horseshoe theory works, generally. However, Hitler's version of fascism, which Poland experienced, aside from government overreach, was a very different form of government. For example, Stalin killed millions of his own citizens. Hitler gave women interest free loans for having kids equivalent to a few months pay, and some of the money would be forgiven for every additional child.

Right guys a (((spectrum))). You're on the spectrum. Fascism saved Europe and pushed back communism for 50 years. The othe is a jewish war tactic. STOP HAVING A LOW IQ

The political spectrum was created to boil everything down in to a black and white debate so side can easily be pitted against side thus creating an infighting people who never think to look up. The political compass was created for the ones less gullible, but still gullible enough to attach themselves to some sort of spectrum.

This is not a new thing and has been used by rulers who do not have the best interest of the people in mind for millennia (people will willingly unite and support a leader that represents them). The "right/left" thing it just the most recent label, and stems from the French Revolution if I recall.
