You can love someone and defend yourself at the same time.

This commandment is for 'agape' love, which (roughly translated) means 'to wish the best for someone'.

It is perfectly reasonable to 'wish the best for someone' and at the same time 'protect your family and culture' from anyone, including an invading force.

Know your faith. Do not let 'them' use our faith as a weapon against us.

I love violent illegal migrants the way I love tigers.... From the other side of a strong, TALL fence.

If you want to really make sense of this you need to consider the human separately from whatever evil belief system or demon might be in control.

Humans can be saved from evil. But, loving humans does not mean we must condone whatever horrible behavior they might be committing.

Boundaries are very important. Tall fences make good neighbors!

Your neighbors, who already exist in your community. He's not talking about importing new neighbors to love.

Most people don't love themselves at all, and treat others accordingly. My favorite are the crazy liberals who cry to help everyone and then watch poor people in line at the grocery store have to put back the most nutritious items in their cart to feed their kids because they can't afford it, and the crybullies refuse to pony up their own $5 to help out a literal neighbor while crying for "taxpayers" to help everyone.

Suppose your neighbor breaks into your house, steals your money, sells drugs to your sons, rapes your daughters and decapitates your wife? What Commandment bullshit do you propose then?

Not a commandment for that, but I think it falls under the eye for eye. and tooth for tooth clause

Nope. There is nothing Christ-honoring about allowing savages to freely roam about your country doing what savages do.

Christ makes us able to do this through agape love, which is a supernatural degree of love that cannot be accomplished merely by the flesh and in man's strength. It did not really exist until His earthly ministry and He modeled it for us. Impossible to do this simply on our own part as it goes entirely against the grain of our natural state to love to this degree. And who is our neighbor: all the folks around us, even the ones that would make us go batcrap crazy. Following the first and greatest commandment given, we are given the power and grace to fulfill the second.

Matthew 37 Jesus declared, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38This is the first and greatest commandment. 39And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’"

He lived among them. They killed Him.
