The one thing I give them credit for at least is they did it in a way where they didn't exactly normalize or sexualize the character. The main characters were all kind of weirded out by the situation. Eventually yes they accept the character in question as the opposite gender, but Rocko was kind of put off at first and didn't know what to say. So at least they didn't force it down our throats like other Netflix programming. For the most part characters were either indifferent, weirded out, or initially opposed.
Considering the whole plot was to show how much everything has changed since the 90's it did do a good job of that. But yeah what do you expect from a show where every character is a stereotype?
I don't care how good the reboot is, when they throw shit like that in, that's a deal breaker.

The Ren & Stimpy Adult Party Cartoon. John K. maxed the degeneracy, took the show places MTV didn't let him and Nick flat out refused to. It was probably the most shocking experience of my summer 2003 Spike TV viewing experience. Loved every second of it - fucking thing was a sledgehammer. Took a week to get my jaw off the floor.

These people that we're trying to include are such a minority that they could never fully integrate into society. Why do we have to be accepting of them and not each other? You ever notice these people that preach tolerance and are against hate, are pretty damn hateful? Just shunning you on mere opinion, going to the point of treating you as an existential threat. You're not being reasoned with, they're literally in a fight or flight response mode, how tolerant of them, how inclusive? Seriously these people don't even want you to join, how the fuck are they planning to win an election if the people don't vote for them?
