When questioned on banning Imgur from advertising services, Google said that it was their policy not to speak about individual cases but pointed to a section of their AdSense rules called Prohibited content.

The page in question makes reference to counterfeit goods and underage, non-consensual, or illegal sex acts – the type of content that prohibits the placement of Google ads on pages that contain it.

However, an official spokesperson for Imgur – while admitting to Reclaim The Net that the partnership with Google's advertising services had been terminated for “a policy violation” – wanted to make clear that it was “in no way related to problems with indecent images of minors.”

😂 love it when the left gets a taste of their own medicine

lol so was I. After a year or so, I asked them if a year was a long enough sentence to serve. They never responded, but they did unban me. I presumed to call out degeneracy and liberal policies immediately afterwards. Stopped using it a long time ago, though.

Good. Hopefully imgur is shut down permanently. It’s just a leftist propaganda website.

DO NOT donate to imgur. Imgur is out of the same London Trust Media conglomerate as Reddit, Snoonet, and Private Internet Access. This is like SNOPES asking for money.........

In short, no. They are owned by London Trust Media which has ownership leading up the Newhouse family.

Good. I was permanently banned in 2016 by a 20 year old moderator from the UK for answering someone who said he couldn't find a single Trump supporter, and wanted an actual Trump supporter to give their reasons.

This is a good nugget:

Apparently aware of the potential problem, Imgur had teamed up with Thorn, a non-profit founded by actor Ashton Kutcher to combat sexual abuse of children online by removing offending content from the internet.

An official spokesman for Imgur confirms that the company was working with Thorn since 2013 – and beta-testing Safer recently – but denies this was “a means of helping to control indecent images on our platform.”

Instead, the spokesperson said, it is “a proactive measure to prevent that kind of content from ever being uploaded to our platform (and more broadly, to the internet at large).”by removing offending content from the internet.

So are we to believe that Thorn gets the images first and blocks (keeps them for?) offending images so the public never sees them but somehow they got through? What does this say about Thorn and the “agreement” or even about Thorn’s core service? And seriously, how does it help stop trafficking? Thorn doesn’t come out smelling like a rose and who the f*** names a company thorn? Lots of f***ery going on.
