ETS posted later at 11:35am that day. Give it up.

I never downloaded zero net, but I did try the direct IP addresses posted for accessing 8 Chan. I'm wondering
1. if accessing those would have exposed my IP or any other info (I assume just info related to browser and it's cache and cookies)
2. I use a VPN , so I'm safe from being exposed, right? (Besides whatever info was in my browser)
Also, I use brave but not Tor.
None | 8chan Users Migrating to ZeroNet Are Accidentally Revealing Their Locations
'The Daily Beast captured 819 IP addresses for 08chan users connecting from 62 different countries. '
'But only 41 percent of 08chan’s users’ are using Tor, based on our analysis of the peer-to-peer traffic at the site. '
'A reincarnated version of the hate-filled forum, now linked to three mass shootings, appeared Monday when the original 8chan lost its hosting service. '
'Most users in our sample, 437 of them, are in the U.S., with Canada (46 users), and the U.K. (37), a distant second and third place. '
'For that reason, ZeroNet integrates tightly with Tor, an anonymity system that places layers of cut-out addresses between a user and the websites they visit. '

If you spent more than 10 seconds reading how it works, you'd realize your IP was never hidden. It is built off of BitTorrent. It would be easier to say you're just stupid, but I get the feeling your real motives are to steer people away from the technology.
