Sounds interesting. I'll check it out. Does your family play it. Ages?

It's a strategy game for all ages! Loads of fun! Not as much as we should!
This game is extremely fun too, if everyone involved likes this kind of stuff.

Interesting but I think I'm going for this catan game next. I've been to Carcassonne too but this Game is prob way over my wifes attention at the end of day she's completely worn out. Sometimes she doesn't even know what the trump is the whole game. Yet she holds the world's title belt for Drock...which she has to defend soon.

Skip bo is another really good one, it captures the interest for a good range of ages too. You have to shuffle like crazy between rounds but it has quickly become a family favorite in my home.

when i was a wee one, i was taught to shoot craps. there i was on the kitchen floor with my dad and brother throwing dice against the baseboard. then i was taught how to play poker for money. only change but to a kid, anything silver is great. back then at least. uno, rummy, all those card games.
but what really brought out the hostilities, what made us all want to punch each other was the game Sorry.
i won a lot of money shooting craps in vegas. i was the roller. people were making too much money and hooting and screaming. but nothing gave me the thrill of being on that kitchen floor and being shown how a "pro" blows on them dice.
that story was great. brought back a lot of good memories.

Craps looks like such a fun game in comparison to say...roulette! I have no idea to play but I wish I could. I've taught my 15 year old poker Texas Hold'em he loves it as did I when I learned the same games you mention.
Some of my fondest memories of my grandma were playing Gin rummy or hearts. She was a card counter! I can picture her face playing. It was so real. Genuine fun. As it still is.
As adults we still play card games almost every week.
Actually we alternate between UNO, Drock, pickup sticks, talking (yes we spend that night just talking mainly about light global events and my 15 year old aspirations), less and less movies. I sent to try this catan game.
, We mainly play drock. A Russian game. Funny cause I learned it in college. That's the most brutal game I'd played until UNO. It's great fun.
My brother comes up every year around xmas and we play for the title belt. My wife is the title holder and will have to defend it this dec!
Don't you love triggering memories?!
You brought back a beautiful memory of my grandma. The best a kid could ever ask for.
How are you doing?

hey. have you ever played Bullshit, the card game?

It really does bring back great memories, thinking about interactive groups games, played in person. I grew up, my three older sisters and my mother all played all of these games and others with me.
One of my grannies had a few strokes. She was bed ridden. I was around 4 or so. She would play connect four with me.
It wasn't until I got to be around 15, that I started learning to be a good winner and a good loser though. My oldest sister married an airforce guy. Brilliant man. He would play stuff like Mortal Kombat with me. He'd kick my butt so bad, but unlike most people I grew up around, he never bragged or rubbed it in my face. He would give me pointers and cheer me on.
It was really weird until I finally understood what it meant to be a good winner.
We played all sorts of the more advanced table top style games, like WarHammer, MageKnights, Talisman, Axis & Allies.
Anyhow, in high-school is when I learned to throw dice and I loved it. Been playing games involving dice for a few years, due to my bro-in-law and in school some guys taught me to throw dice for change to buy lunch. A couple of girls, same high-school, taught me Domino's.
Man I still love all of these kinds of games, but most I meet and know would rather be staring at screens, instead.

thanks for asking. you know it's those little things in life that make us the happiest, so today i am very happy. i got my order of almonds, pecans, nigger toes, golden raisins, dried cranberries and cherries. trail mix. of course, got other vitriols like organic polenta, dried pinto beans, coconut water. i always feel rich when my pantry gets fuller.
btw, i got a bit down after reading that ZH article about that damn fourth turning yesterday. so i have decided i am going to be happy and peaceful until the shit hits the fan. i hope you are doing great. sure sounds like it.
