I have no sorrow for her, She should have been polite to the cop

While I agree her actions towards the cop definitely worsened her situation considerable, I feel for her family as a loss like this is always difficult. What makes it worse is it could have been avoidable had she not be so irate. I also believe that the cop was within his legal rights, but should none the less be scrutinized.

Stop invoking Poe's law, damn it!

I really don understand what is going on with the case. It looks like she killed herself but people are trying to make it into a race issue . I could be wrong
[–] Drakinor [S] 0 points 1 point 1 point (+1|-0) ago
While I can definitely see many issues with the case, and there are a ton of "grey areas" I don't think it should be considered a race issue. That being said, whenever something happens between a white person and a minority, it is called a race issue simply because it is a white person and a minority. The sad fact is, if Ms. Bland had been white, no one would care.

Exactly . She was depressed before and wanted to kill herself for a while. Maybe this was the straw that broke her

Not a bit. Police still failed to act reasonably, and her gaolers deserve to spend time behind bars. Next question?

I can definitely see where you're coming from. Correct me if I am wrong in my assumptions but I am guessing your reasoning is as follows:
Am I correct?

Yes. Failure to protect a suicidal woman, if she did admit suicidal tendencies, is a failure that should carry weight, and termination.
Unlawful detention and false arrest should not only get the initial contact LEO fired, but jailed.
This changes nothing.
