Muscles aren't even that useful
I've had idiots ask me shit like that- what's the good of being strong. That's where we're at now as a society.

"Damn I can't believe you managed to build a time machine in 1950, let me fill you in on the future. Strong people are gross, fat people are beautiful, that war you fought recently? Well the people we saved now control us and are trying to destroy us, but it's fine, we need to be multicultural anyway."

Estelle Birdy on Twitter: "Not alone all of this but they can’t functionally move either. The muscles aren’t even useful. It’s gross really, that human beings are doing this to themselves. Gym, eat, repeat: the shocking rise of muscle dysmorphia /22y85Swrhz"

From the article:
"And that is one of the issues of muscle dysmorphia – you can hide in plain sight. A pair of weighing scales in the kitchen; tupperware boxes of chicken and broccoli in your backpack. Most people view these as harmless, if idiosyncratic, behaviours. And when you look like you are hewn out of marble, it is hard to consider anything is amiss. It is only when you step past the facade that you realise these statue-like men are slowly destroying themselves."
Hear that guys. Packing chicken and broccoli for lunch is destroying yourself?? There is a huge spectrum between guzzling hamplanet and truly body dysmorphic male anorexic/bigorexic and the right way to live is hell of alot closer to the latter.

I think that they probably read some article about muscle/body dismorphia and then concluded that ANYONE who watches their weight or exercises MUST be suffering from body image issues. Not to say that it isn't real, but fatties can't imagine anyone not drowning themselves in cheeseburgers for the majority of their waking hours.

If functioning means being able to lift your fat ass in any capacity, then yes, I suppose he can't functionally move.

No man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.
-Socrates
Athletic bodies are beautiful. There’s a reason there are statues world wide of athletic bodies. I’m a man, but even find athletic male bodies beautiful. No one finds fats beautiful. If they say they are, they are lying.
