You read my mind on the "testimony as a delay tactic." I see that also happening with all these supposed 11th hour witnesses coming forward to testify to IG Horowitz, which is delaying the IG report as well. There was SUPPOSED to be a dedicated IG report on Comey that's long overdue (late), plus an IG report on FISA abuse (waaaay late), plus FISA de-class (waaaaaaay late), plus US Atty Huber's findings on the Clinton Foundation investigation (waaaaay late), plus the (supposedly recently assigned) US Atty Durham investigation into the Russia hoax origins.
Also POTUS told Hannity about a month ago or so that they're going to be de-classifying not just the FISA stuff, but "much more than that." Yet I saw an article recently claiming that even though POTUS gave AG Barr full authority to de-class anything and everything, AG Barr said he WASN'T going to do it (no idea why he wouldn't comply or if that article was true). I haven't seen AG Barr say anything to that effect on video out of his mouth personally, so I don't trust that information re: Barr not complying with POTUS' request to de-class.
But MY GAWD getting this promised information out to the public is taking forever - much later than the timelines they originally tell us - it just keeps getting delayed, stalled, side-stepped, etc. over and over and over.
A critical goal of our govt - especially in the severely tarnished DOJ/FBI - should be to restore the public's confidence in these institutions. And telling the public they're going to do something and giving the public a specified date range (i.e., within a few weeks, by mid-month, etc.) for when that document/information will be completed/announced/published and then repeatedly missing those dates over and over and over is NOT helping restore our faith in our govt or those institutions at all.
Just like with the date-fagging we see in the Q movement, it always blows up in our faces and NEVER hits on the specified date. I wish AG Barr, IG Horowitz et al would just do their work and not comment on when the public can expect any piece of information or report or whatever to be made public because they've never delivered anything by their promised deadline date EVER.
I think it would be far better if these officials just refuse to give a 'promised delivery date' because far too many variables can cause delays in whatever delivery dates they estimate. Missing their deadlines all the time does NOT help restore public confidence - it only chips away at it all the more, IMO.
Personally, if I see/hear about FISA de-class one more time, I'm gonna scream. I don't think POTUS or Barr is EVER going to release that - it must be too valuable as leverage or something, so it looks like POTUS is not gonna blow his wad on that giving public disclosure.
We've been told that FISA de-class is coming for a friggin' year already - it's not happening. I wanna see it, but it seems POTUS has better uses for that information more valuable than public disclosure, and I trust POTUS to make those decisions. I trust POTUS with my life.
