I would note that the job of Jennifer Gonzalez is to represent the people of Puerto Rico in Congress even though she doesn't have a vote. I wonder if her increasing support of Trump is because she senses increased support for him from her constituents.

That is part of it.
The US midterm elections taught her, the PR MSM and the local government that they people of PR were not as brainwashed as they though. You see, here the govt officials and the Press only speak negatively about Trump; 24/7.
During the midterm elections about half of the PR people who moved to Florida voted Republican. This little-known fact shocked the press here and the local govt officials. They have tried to portray PR as a solid blue island; that is not the case.
Why do you think that the House's push to make PR the 51st state in 90 days fizzled away and nobody has mentioned it again?

Jennifer Gonzalez is a veteran politician, she knew things were going to get ugly here quickly and needed to near herself to Trump and move away from the PR governor. I think she might also get dragged into the corruption probes, but we'll see.

When the MSM narrative was full blown negative against Trump just after hurricane Maria, there were extensive reports - and supportive pictures - showing all the relief supplies stacked up on the docks just sitting there. Truck drivers were warned by their unions to not show up to make the deliveries.
In addition (I have not corroborated the following after reading the original story), armed agents from several federal agencies had an armed, near violent standoff with company security for the local utility who would not allow access to a huge warehouse that was storing much of the badly needed, just delivered hardware components needed for the electric infrastructure rebuild.
After forcing their way in, the feds took pictures and inventory of a massive amount of brand new, very expensive hardware that was just sitting there.
Corruption on a vast scale.

That is all Correct!!! It has been verified here several times. The military almost fired on the AEE (local Power Authority) personnel as they did not want to allow the Feds to enter the Warehouse. The ones who first went to the Warehouse were FEMA people and they were denied access. They later came back with the Military who were armed to the teeth. Access was granted when the military pointed their guns at the heads of the warehouse personnel.
