Actually nature is more about figuring out how not to compete. Ecological niches and all that.
Wrong. Every niche is comprised of a multitude of competing species, and within a single species you find competition. Well, almost every niche. But the higher on the food chain you go, the more competition there is. Humans can inhabit whatever "niche" we want, but we're still competing with other humans, the same way lions compete with lions, hyenas compete with hyenas, wolves compete with wolves etc. There's a limited supply of everything, and we're always competing to get the most we can of it. We compete every single day with other humans for a bigger slice of the pie. Competition is inherent in our existence, and if you don't compete, you lose. You can't not compete and overcome those who are competitive. We are mostly passive today. We don't compete sexually or tribally anymore. Now we're being demographically displaced. That's what happens when you stop competing. If we stop competing economically, China, and other countries, will eat up what we don't take, and soon dominate the international market and walk all over us. Competition is nature. You're a nigger.
