It really depends on the board. General boards like politics, news, and gaming? Fuck no. Boards for a specific group or show or interest? Sure. Like if you went to v/traditionalwives and said "being a traditional wife is fucking retarded, fuck you traditional wives" and they banned you would I be butthurt over it? No, good on them for protecting the waifus. But if you went to v/politics and said that and they banned you would I be upset? Fuck yeah and fuck that kind of censorship.

I suppose I disagree. If your example were to be the case, it would behoove TW to instead choose to engage the user and convince them otherwise, or simply ignore them. In the grand scheme of things, a simple comment or post does not affect them. Commentary, opposite opinions, or even simple language offensives are not grounds for dismissal. It would be different if someone was actually spamming, like multiple submissions of pictures of porn or links to a scam website etc. But that isn't what is happening. Someone coming to a sub and saying, I disagree with you and I think you are an XYZ because of it, isn't something that should be banned. Even if it is overtly a parody, or offensive on purpose. That is wrong and antithetical to the foundations of this site.
They come here and make their own space argument is BS, because all spaces on this site are an open forum, and are subject to the principles of an open forum. If they want some closed space, they can PM to their heart's content.
