God dammit. Why a 22. Those are way more plentiful and not as cool as a S&W.

Also, I have not been very impressed with the new S&W finishes as of late.

No joke. One of the FEW times we was out in the wildness and not carrying. I honest to god always have Some type of fire arm with in arms reach, whether at the house, in the truck, or at any of my families houses. Trust me, I felt like a fucking idiot today. Dad too.

If you want power, you'll have to handle the kick. Or carry a 30-30 carbine.

I have a Winchester 1894 pre 64 30-30 that’s a total safe queen. When I die it’s going with me to my grave. And it’s a little hard to lever a long gun with a beer in your hand lol

30-30's don't have that much kick at all, honestly. A little oomph to it but it's a satisfying oomph.

Is there any reason you can't carry a rifle?

We was booze cruising the back trails behind his house. We had my AR in his buggy, but that was 100 or so yards behind us

So you don't need a new pistol you need to front sling that rifle when you are out there.

If you put enough 9mm on target it will stop a mule

This is true. But we wouldn’t of had the time to do that. It was one of those “Right the fuck now, or we are bailing off a cliff” moments.

When your dealing with big game velocity is you friend. A 9 mm out of a 10 inch barrel is better than a 308 out if a 1 inch barrel.

You carry a gun like this in a leg holster https://ibb.co/HCLd7VF

Or somthing kike this https://ibb.co/0Mk0dmv

Lever-action rifle and a revolver both in .45 Colt with hollowpoint bullets. .45 Colt brass (at least the Starline stuff) can be safely loaded to magnum pressure levels, and a .45 bullet is going to make a serious impression on even a 1000lb animal.
