OP-LP, Joe is saying this to give hope and distraction to the DS players, give them confidence as they walk into a possible trap they don’t yet understand or anticipate. IMHO

Patriot, I think you are making a great valid point, I agree with your take on this.

shrug So? Maybe I'm missing something, but I'm just not feeling the urgency. Article said he's testifying before the House Judiciary Committee. House. As in "Nancy Python's Flying Circus" house. Zero power to indict, arrest or sentence without a DOJ that obviously understands that.
At best, Weissman's testimony gives them an unprovable flag to wave to open yet another investigation...which pretty much everyone is tired of. Keeping an investigation open is a defence against being arrested, since they can claim retaliation and interference.
Weissman is trying to save his own ass, too.

Patriot it is not so much the urgency more then it is the incrimination phase coming. because it exposes the SC.
you forget that FISA works both ways. and the DOJ has the power to arrest, and can expose their crimes to the public.

Patriot, I like the fact that Weissman will either tell the truth or incriminate himself.

Problem for Weissman is, if he perjures himself as being expected, it is over for him.

I don't know. I love DiGenova, but lately he has been wrong a lot.

I agree patriot, but like another Patriot pointed out, I believe he is putting bait out there for the Desperatecrats to bite on.
