We have accountability now? When was the last time anyone on either side gave a fuck about a balanced budget?

The only chance I could possibly see something like this happening is if you allowed current senators to still hold office as long as they can win election. No senator is going to vote to end their own career

Nice effort but you know damn well it isn't going anywhere

We need that. I'm sick of the dipshits in my state getting re-elected with false promises by a certain small group of the population.

This is inconsequential. Even if it DID pass, you aren't voting your way out.

As much as I dislike the establishment career politicians, I don't like this. We can always vote out a shitty politician, but we can't alwaysreplace a good one. But the globalists have droves of pawns lined up so they don't care when their guys finish their 2 terms.

Ok, so then we create lame-duck senators serving for 6 years with zero need to actually represent their constituents. What could possibly go wrong?

As opposed to powerfully corrupt senators serving for centuries with zero need to actually represent their constituents.

serving for centuries

Hyperbole. Dumb.

zero need to represent

They face re-election. That’s the check on power. The individual terms of 6 years need to be shortened if there is a two term maximum.

2019-01-04 | Ted Cruz introduces term limit bill that would end career in Senate - Business Insider

"It goes into effect after it's passed, so Cruz would still be able to run for two additional Senate terms."

'Ted Cruz introduced a constitutional amendment Friday that would restrict senators to two six-year terms. '

'I urge my colleagues to submit this constitutional amendment to the states for speedy ratification."', "Correction: This article previously stated that the amendment would end Cruz's Senate career after its current term."

'"The amendment, as drafted, would start the clock once it was ratified," Cruz told the Houston Chronicle. '
