No offense to the OP, but planes have crashed ever since the days of the Wright Brothers...it's all about weather, mechanical failure, and the law of gravity. Any pilot will tell you, gravity is a bitch.

Not everything is part of a conspiracy, and jumping on every story that makes the news only makes us look desperate and stupid.

I don't think the OP suggested anything.

Rumor has it that there were 11 people on board. Apparently 2 other skydivers jumped on the load at the last minute, but still speculation at this time though. Left engine out at under 500 feet on take-off. King Air A90's dont have auto-feather from what I'm told and they probably didn't have a chance.

Sad. The irony of people who are wearing parachutes to die in a plane crash did not go unnoticed though.

Did it go down right after takeoff or during landing? Standard procedure is for everyone to bail out as they all have parachutes on...even during an emergency landing everyone is supposed to bail if at altitude.

Standard operating procedure is to do what the pilot tells you. Unless the door is open and your near it, and you have enough altitude to get under a good canopy, we'll probably get out. No sense in everyone dying.

Which is basically what I just said.

Yes and the numbers in the article are interesting. Prayers for the familes and friends.

Never fly tourist planes/helis. Negligent, reckless, money grubbers who think work is PLAY! IMO.

I would like to know who was onboard though before calling it an honest accident.

ANOTHER good reason not to fly with "fly by night" independent carriers. Especially if it's a Freebie (you WON!) or a super discounted rate (you'd be a FOOL not to!...SPECIAL promotional rate!).

Here's the local news for further research - https://www.kitv.com/

I've flown gliders and small planes out of that particular field. Tricky windshear there. Possible they were over weight and balance. Sometimes they do that with parachute flights. Probably not connected to anything. Not everything is connected to Q. Sounds like they weren't far enough above ground when they started to fail, so a jump wouldn't have allowed anyone to survive, just not far enough above ground to pull the chute. Not the first accident of its kind in Hawaii. I remember a similar crash in the 80's there.

Sheeeit - if you ever doubted mockingbird media controls all, just do a search on "skydiving accident Hawaii" -- the first 5 pages on search come up with almost identical headlines and lead snippets all over the world. No imagination. Sheesh
