This is just one of dozens of rewrites of a poorly written original article. I found a good article on the subject here: https://www.inverse.com/article/56733-russia-launches-red-car-into-space It even has a link to a video of the weather balloon launch.

Does anyone still believe that Musk actually sent a car into space? Is there anyone that can't see this was a diversion to protect a top secret payload delivery? Really? Seriously?

Normally they send up chunks of concrete on a rockets first launch, it was likely just a publicity stunt, sending an expensive secret payload on an experimental new rocket is a terrible idea, space agency's launch classified payloads all the time and no one bats an eye.

Normally it would be a terrible idea, but when Q and company are taking out their comm sats left and right, risk is something they have to take. I suspect it was a com sat for blackhat/DS, but that's just my guess. It's possible that he did send up a car, I just don't buy it.

How are they mocking musk. Looks more like a nod in his direction.

"Space enthusiasts in Russia launch their own car into space as a tribute to SpaceX"
Why the constant demonization of Russia? Who owns the press anyway?

You know it's a real body in that Tesla... Best, most public murder coverup in history.
Really, its an interesting theory. Probably there was forensic evidence in the car as well, so, get rid of that!

I suspected similarly, but a little more benign; someone that wanted to be memorialised (or Elon wanted to memorialise). Like Stephen Hawking, even though his death was officially declared a few months after the launch I suspect it's his body up there, honest or not he was one of the most prominent astrophysicists (if I remember his field right) in recent history.
