I've only been dual-booted for about 8 months now (I started with Windows), but over that time I've gradually moved to do everything on the Linux side. Windows is now only for a few games that don't run well in WINE, and that's only because of Nvidia.

I no longer dual boot, but when I did I used Linux for everything except for playing Skyrim and Dishonored. Now I just set them up in WINE with PlayOnLinux. But, I hardly ever play them now that I have other games to play.

I jump back and forth for programming basically. I need to make sure things compile in multiple environments.

I'm not currently doing this (using unix-compliant OS X), but I plan on setting up the dual boot soon. Linux for coding, Windows for Steam.

Do people dual boot anymore? I thought virtualization made that obsolete. I run OSX and Windows, and use OSX for everything I can and only jump over to Windows when there are no alternatives.

I use Windows primarily for gaming, and Linux when I'm doing any programming.
