I hope you are also wondering why Americans can't find a decent comfortable shoe. Oh yeah, outsourced to countries who think it's normal for adults to have baby feet.

I was blessed with long, skinny feet. I've never been able to buy cheap shoes. Almost all manufacturers of cheap shoes have the notion that if your feet are long, they are fat. Thankfully, my dad had the same feet and taught me early in life about good shoes that fit. I'll gladly pay more to be able to wear a pair of shoes all day long. I know the value of being able to resole when necessary to preserve the life of a good pair of shoes!

Yes, And bathroom 'toilets'! Remember they were made to only allow so much water. Toilet paper became useless!

All because the Ds sold us out to the NWO/Globalists!

That is an example of stupid regulation that needs to be repealed. Toilets used to use 5 gallons of water per flush, and were mostly trouble free. Now toilets use 1.3 or 1.6 gallons per flush, and require multiple flushes that still don't clean the bowl properly. I am so tired of god dammed idiots who think they know better than the people who actually design stuff.

Lol. I don't get the TP reference, but I do notice they are putting these "water controlled" sinks in places and it's not enough water to get the soap off of my hands. As with the toilets, I end up using more water than if they just left it alone!

All the newer appliances are garbage today... Unless you can spend a ridiculous amount more for a top brand such as a $10,000 Sub Zero refrigerator. Stupid...

I buy appliances at refurbish stores.

Yep we have only old appliances, I think only 1 is less than 12-15 years. They still work great and if something breaks and we can fix it we do.

They do that on purpose though, because they want you to have to keep opening your wallet. Ever hear why they stopped making the Honda Crx? They said the car was made "too well" and lasted too long, so they won't ever bring it back.

I have a 22 year old kenmore washer and dryer. I have recently paid to have them refurbished to new condition. It was cheaper to get them refurbished then to buy new (by less then half) and I have a reliable set with no digital electronics, just good old fashioned knobs. If you want to buy american, buy an old used model and get it fixed as needed. Or, invest in a Speed Queen set (made in the USA) and they will last you forever.

I have a set of LG side-loaders, large enough for a family of 8 so the 8+ cubic feet models.

The 10 year linear motor warranty just ended and LG sent me a notice that the only way they could perform a software update on the board was by sending me a new board and having someone install it.. for free. Including another 10 year warranty on the electronics.

I've personally inspected the linear motors because I'm curious. If well maintained they would run 50+ years. I have zero issues with LG and hope they can last as long as your Kenmore.
