Remember... They are still about ratings and money. They certainly don't do this for free. Don't get me wrong, I believe they are all Patriots. But they have an agenda as well.

It's as if they are [controlled] opposition.

They are not controlled opposition in my own assessment.

They are Mossad agents, more pro-Israel than Alex Jones

Correct. My dad is conservative and believes in liberty but only at a pretty basic level. He thinks the US is a capitalist country. He has no idea, none whatsoever, how close the country came to annihilation or how evil and extensive the deep state really is. He watches Fox but he also for example thinks the Fed is independent and he follows their commentary on the economy. People like my dad need to wake up very slowly or maybe they will just not have time to wake up this time around. It gets very hard for people to change their thinking as they get older.

So, if you're past the Fox News level then good for you, but most people need the hand-holding that they are providing. It may be good enough just to keep the older people from getting terrified and flipping out, than to really try to explain it all to them.

Don't sell us ol' geezers short! Not only are a lot of us awake, we're often more awake than our 30-something kids! (who think we are over-reacting and things are not really all that bad) Yes, I understand that there are a lot of people like your dad, but it is really more about their world view than age. There are a lot of Gen X who think Clinton/Obama represent normal! They all know several people who have had abortions and "don't want to judge." I could go on for quite a while, but will spare you my long list of examples and give you two pieces of Wisdom of the Elders:

  1. Talk about Policies in terms of Liberty and Justice for ALL. "Special" interests are not for all.
  2. Avoid political labels and buzzwords as much as possible. Political buzzwords make people tune out and assume they already know what you are going to say; they are practically hypnotic.

I know most of the geezers (including me) who live here in the south are appreciative of their freedom and are patriots. What I was thinking about is here in the south, at one time, everyone were democrats, and it is sometimes hard to get some of them to understand that the democrat party is communist now.

You are right about that! Most of us oldies are the ones who have been screaming at this craziness for years. I think many people (especially here in Alabama and Mississippi) where I have lived, raised their kids to be patriots and to know their rights. I see a lot of the wrongness is about "culture" and the people who look to Hollywood and celebrities or sports stars or whoever their idols are to tell them how to think. I raised my own daughter in central Florida (huge mistake) and she was fine until she went to the unviersity there and they convinced her that her parents had abused her by our teachings and she bought into it and now she has turned against us. I agree, our veterans fought for us to have rights to be free and policies should be what we defend, but the younger generation (and my liberal family) are only about identity politics or who Hollywood thinks is cool or uncool. Glad God hasn't let me fall for this crap.

I'm 61 and I have no trouble changing my mind .....once I have the facts.....not the manufactured reality.
