Thank you, I see that in the article. All I'm saying is that civilian travelers are the ambassadors of good will, from any country. I think he's being too controlling on this, if those are his real reasons. Now on the other hand, if it's to prevent American criminals from escaping justice to a country where we don't have an extradition agreement, then I'm okay with that.
If it's about economy and political pressure, civilians are way better and bridging cultural gaps than politicians or country leaders. We're much more persuasive on the ground. I think we can win hearts and minds a lot faster and easier that way. Just my humble opinion.
