I believe you about Amish and Mennonite. But I know I'm too soft and they're too exclusive for me to make a go at entering their worlds. They probably are better suited to survive holodmor 2.0 but for me Mormonism is a lot more accessible and I see plenty of potential in it still

Why don't you make your own version of Mormonism that espouses your own ideals?

In some ways I think that's inevitable because like op said, the church is in trouble. It's hemorrhaging members as people learn about the larp origins. It kind of breaks my heart thinking of all the virtuous women in that church being thrown to the wolves as the cracks show up in the origins.

I think the polygamy option has potential as well. Growing up main line Mormons are taught that it was used in extraordinary times when the pioneers were threatened with extinction. I don't think it's a good long term option as the fundamentalist Mormons show that just devolves into incest and old men stealing women from the next generations. But I think 1-2 generations of polygamy to correct birth rates is an option. Put the roasties to use as lessor wives in a hierarchy under the more virtuous top tier wives. Like concubines. Don't let their genetic lines be completely laid to waste but the better women get to instruct those kids. Keep the feminism away for the next generation. How to ensure the future generations revert back to monogamy is a good question though.
