It does. It has been almost single handedly responsible for increasing the life span of humans. Women cannot breed past 30-40 years of age depending on the woman. That just doesn't change. A man can breed at 90 is he is still alive strong attractive and successful. The best men often do breed into their 70s or 80s. Look at Mick Jagger. Since these children had a father that was able to outlive the majority of the population, they too have a genetic proclivity to outliving the majority of the population.
Maybe you are an old roastie past healthy child bearing years? You know about a third of women are completely infertile before 35? Chances of down syndrome babies increase by over 4 fold?
If this is you, that is ok. You can still have children via artificial methods or help your relatives raise many healthy children.

And when the woman is able to breed past 30-40, there is a high rate of deformity. This does not happen with older fathers. It has to do with simple biology. Sperm are continously regenerated while eggs are present from the beginning of life and just get older and older. It would take a much greater evolutionary shift to allow old women to have viable offspring.

This, past his mid 30s a man's sperm starts lowering in quality.
