It doesn't really matter. 99.99% of people have always-listening devices on them 99.99% of the time with cell phones.

I had an old Amazon Fire in the garahe, hooked up to the stereo for music. Every time it's quite for a while, then I start to sing or make noise, the music stops. Geez, what would be bottlenecking this 5 year old hardware, causing the music to buffer? Could it be the CPU is processing microphone input? Naaaahhh!
