hehehe, im one of those people that maintains different independent views on everything as well.
thank you for your opinion, see above, the Urantia book belongs to my mother, who has read it, ?whole?. She likes horoscopes and such. I try and tell her that although such energies may exist, they have no real bearing on individual will and faith, and that by paying attention to such influences, in a manner of speaking literally pulls the rug out from under ones own self.
Well you might want to rethink that. The urantia book is “written” by various members of the angelic realms who were not pleased to have to do so. To much had to be censored because we know so little of what is really going on. However, there are huge sections that explain lots of interesting areas that expand one’s perspective. You should give it a try ..... lol you aren’t one of my kids are you? Lmao

Urantia was a CIA-funded and controlled project.

ty for your opinion, what you stated is the very reason why i have not cracked the Urantia book. A few major points stick out in my mind tho, 1) i know the bible is a corrupted work. fact 2) the world isnt what its made out to be. fact. What that real world perspective is ??? 3) a passage from ? The book of Thomas ? where Christ pulls Thomas aside for blind radical faith. 4) if there is abundant life in the universe , then by reason there would be organizational structure to existence outside of this world. 5) humanity is a babe in the eyes of the rest of life out there and it would stand to reason that we would be given a primitive "mother goose" kindergarten understanding of spirituality to start us out on our individual spiritual journeys.
as for the other publications, id assume that the consensus is that they are like any other biblical reference materials, let your spirit guide you to truth.

I've been on a number of paths over the years. Not just a surface pass either. A long time in metaphysics as well as other stuff. Decades. HERE was the difference. I can study and read all day. Soak up tons of knowledge. Done it. Yet how does that APPLY and how much is counting clouds? What GROWS CORN in my life after ALLLL that was the personally SHOWING UP of Jesus Christ in my life. Then not only study which is still important, but how to WALK THIS OUT. Even tho' man can muck up some translation of the Scriptures, that is why you need Christ and His Holy Spirit which ENLIVENS the Word and He will teach you. Yes, still fellowship, preaching an' all that-but the supernatural aspect of life in Christ. Inimitable. Who do folks love or hate the most, that will show you where the POWER truly is. What Book is either sought after or suppressed more than any other? That is where the TRUTH is. A lot of that other stuff is Gnosticism. Still not the Real Thing. Speaking of spiritual warm fuzzy...this road is a hard road. Rewarding, adventurous, and sometimes seemingly downright crazy (to the world) but with the mountains and valleys of life, He helps me walk a steady course. Each translation of Scripture has its points. But, for example, I will not go to a New World Translation as that is Jehovah's Witness which is its own thing-not Trinity. I do not get into the Apocrypha cuz I do not want to somehow mix that with what I believe is the canon of 66 Books. The "gospels" that are being found, then and now, all have some smattering that would dilute the Gospel. Not that anything really dilutes it, for it becomes then a false gospel. Hoo boy, what else?? Comparison of translations, word study, gotta read the whole Scripture and then follow the scarlet thread, then a verse is reflected in a chapter, in a book, than in the whole of the 66 books forming a whole picture either way. Well, i'll leave it at that. Every year it seems my library gets smaller. How many of those books really gather dust?? To each his own. The more I go to the Source the more the Source teaches me. Now the OLD writings, from like the late 1800 or others, they have a use of words and a turn of phrase that makes today's writings seem more shallow. And they are, look at an eighth grade test from the past and you will see my point. Being honest. We often just scratch the surface. The next major challenge is finding time to get more into these treasures.
