Should we be thankful that narcissism now has a call sign?! I do feel sorry for people trapped in relationships with narcissists, hell, I'm one of them. Also, I think I may have some narcissistic traits. Should we be open to perceiving our own flaws, and give others the benefit of the doubt? I'm still going to do what I can to steer around narcissists, I'm just afraid that technology creates narcissist of everyone, and seems like anyone who doesn't subscribe to the regularly scheduled programming will suffer ostracism. So many, -ists, and -isms, does anyone know what being yourself even feels like? Could they even relate to the idea of a personality without membership?

I had a smartphone before the iphone came out (anyone remember the pocket PC?)... was bored with smartphones by 2009 and went back to a dumb phone. (I do have an ipod touch.. but it's mostly just for playing music and testing things on mobile browsers.. weird, right?).

I've been going through what that chick in the video was for years now... but seeing as I'm not some hot Asian chick, people just thought/think I was weird or poor.

I'm sure it will be the same thing that happened when I dropped cable back in 2002.... always just waiting for everyone else to catch up.

And now I feel like an asshole because I'm sitting here watching the video on my phone...going to go outside and live life for a while.

I understand the message of the video but I don't think it's that bad.

Honestly? Most of my friends are in the 18-24 age range and I hardly ever see a smartphone out while in company for more than a couple of seconds at a time.

My phone is music and emergencies. That is all. I will never do this to someone who is talking.

I will occasionally take my cellphone out during a conversation if I need to use it for ONE minute - to write a note, check something, etc. I've literally talked to someone who would yap yap yap and then when you had something to say he'd take the cellphone out of his pocket and peruse it until you finished talking, then resume his conversation and do the same thing again when you open your mouth. Really, when this goes on for an entire afternoon, no joke, you know the guy has a disease.
