I played a shit ton of sports growing up, but now that I am older I find other things to occupy my time

  • I picked up DJing when I was about 19, stuck with it for 6 years or so. I love music, and getting to listen to music loudly while making your own mixes is fun as hell.

  • Refinishing wooden furniture/making things. IF I can get my hands on something for free I will either refinish it, or sometimes I will disassemble it, refinishing, then build something new with it. This one I keep at and now focus on bigger projects instead of tinkering. Floating bed frame is what I want to do next.

  • Wood carving - bought a set of chisels and from time to time I will whittle, carve or chisel something.

  • Since joining voat I have begun to learn CSS to screw around with in my sub. Very fun so far but not sure how much time and effort I will put into it.

  • Making food - Having worked as a chef in the past I came to love cooking, and I really enjoy spending time in the kitchen. I dont mind spending close to 2 hours in the kitchen making a really nice (simple, yet elegant in my motto) meal. Just pour a drink, turn on the music, and off I go.

I think most of us will say computers in one way or another, that's one of mine! Cars, DJing, photography a long time ago, and biking! Don't really keep up on any of them now that I have other expenses. All I really do now is bike ride on a bike I wish I could afford to replace.

EDIT: Saw someone else mention it, I ALSO got into homebrewing a few years back! My wife and I love doing it, but it's another thing that's fallen to the wayside due to having to pay for other things! That and we used to live in apartment with bad AC so we couldn't brew in the summer!
