Yeah, I found a ton of vids on YouTube on how to build simple stovetop pot stills! I'm sure at THAT scale it's not even worth their time or manpower to come investigate what you're doing!

Although the basrards do it when they can.
You might want to make your still a little bigger than some of those stove stills, for better results. I would recommend at least 7 Liter capacity. Otherwise you're going to have a tough time making cuts. Also, use electric heat if you can. If you're running off anything greater than 100 Proof, open flames could be dangerous.
It's pretty rewarding. You don't get the kind of immediate satisfaction that beer or winemakers get, but you can really make some top shelf hooch once you get the hang of it.

Great advice, thanks! I didn't even THINK about the high ABV + open flames! That's gonna stick with me now!
