I think it only fair to let it all play out before we cast the entire agency under the bus. The FBI has done some outstanding work (disrupting terror plots) as well as some quite dubious actions (Roger Stone arrest, for example). The poor reputation isn't of the department but those politicized leaders with their hands on the levers of power. They need to be culled.

But saying their reputation is undeserved or doesn't need to be protected is the same as the Lefties saying gun ownership is a threat to safety when some whacko goes on a shooting spree. It's too broad of a brush.

I don't know if Wray is a white hat, gray hat or black hat. I've been disappointed that more hasn't been done publicly to demonstrate how they are cleaning up the Bureau but there have been a lot of the hierarchy dismissed since he's been the Director. It's seldom publicized unless the principal alerts the media. Same with the DOJ.

But, in the interests of the good and hard-working men and women of the FBI, protecting the agency's reputation is important in my opinion.

Nope. Too many corrupt field offices, too much of a fish rotten from the top, too many dubious practices -- like "302's" being handwritten notes only in the 21st century, and all the processes such as even the grand jury process as it is used that shouldn't be permitted. A whole culture of arrogance and abused power. Sure some good eggs, but too much rot.

FBI has been throughly corrupt for decades, it has been co-op’ed since the beginning.

The evidence against the FBI is astounding.

Educate yourself.

How many thousands have been hurt by FBI corruption and tyranny? How much evidence spanning decades and hundreds of cases, showing terrible travesty after terrible travesty is enough? Is their consistent misapplication and misuse of their power is enough? Is decades upon decades of people having had their lives improperly destroyed enough..

The FBI, as it has demonstrated repeatedly is broken and sick to its very core.

A broken clock is right twice a day. That doesn’t mean it should be held on to.
