Some possible clues. A study of human anatomy will show that the skin on the forehead and the back of the right hand (not left, just the right one) changes temperature faster than any other part of the body. Why would that be important? Quick changes in temperature can be used to charge a tiny battery that powers a chip inserted under the skin.
What happens if say a tiny lithium battery ruptured and leaked lithium underneath the skin? We already know that the lithium would cause a awful weeping sore that would take a long time to heal.
Revelations 16:2 (KJV)
2 And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshiped his image.
Notice the scripture doesn't say sores (plural) but sore (singular).
