I don't understand the implications of this event. Can someone please explain it to me?
As far as I know small chunks of radioactive material are being carried into the Pacific Ocean and potentially destroying sea life. This is all as a result of the Fukushima nuclear accident that was a result of poor reactor design and an earthquake. Anything else worth knowing?

The main point here is that the cleanup "efforts" are shit and aren't doing anything, and that the exact nature and seriousness of Fukushima is being downplayed on a global scale.
For one thing, I've yet to see many people acknowledge the fact that the other reactors will meltdown sooner or later, because of the ongoing failure to contain the first one.
So imagine this problem, but with 4 reactors no one can clean up spewing radiation into the ocean. That's what we have in store, and what is being downplayed and ignored by MSM.

Well that is pretty messed up. What can people outside of Japan do about this?
