Not all news is hidden behind a paywall though - most is disguised as "free" for giving them your personal information. Others freely distribute what they've already paid for to others by sharing snippets here and there or creating their own news site that also shows the information - which is much like leaving the newspaper in the bathroom stall for the next 'reader'.
Although this generation, and ones to come, will have far less access to newspapers to read, they'll also have access to unimaginable amounts of that very same news via online sources - all faster and cheaper than it is today even.
As for the coming generations maturity level...that's a concern...and that's what happens when nobody is ever allowed to learn from a mistake because mistakes are as rewarded as successes are.

So many independent blogs and good information sources, when you google them they say "far right bias' or far left bias, or conspiracy topics". Then you here back from others to not send that stuff. Even with supporting docs...they google them and then the source is tainted. Awful. Google American Thinker....I see that a lot here.
