Ruger EC9s FTW

Suspiciously cheap, but Ruger generally seems like a good brand. Why the EC9s over the Glock 43, other than cost?
I've never shot an EC9s or an LCP.

I picked one up on sale for $199. Out of the box it performed flawlessly. No jams, stovepipes, or failure to feed issues. Breaks down in less than 30 seconds. Fixed sights are dead on at 7, 10, and 20 yards. Recoil is minimal for such a light weight gun. Compact size leaves no printing. Comes with a 7 round mag but there is a 9 round one from Ruger with grip extension for ppl with a larger hand. Has a mag, trigger, and thumb safety so I don't worry if I need to pocket carry. The trigger on it is smooth and crisp. Same size/shape as the LC9s making it compatible with all the holsters and aftermarket items already out there.
I had a S&W Sigma Series 9mm that was harder on the hand with it's recoil, and had numerous failure to fire issues.
I'll admit it was an impulse buy due to cost but I've been nothing but impressed with it thus far. 500 rounds without a single issue. I recommend to anyone to test fire one of these. I've never fired a Glock 43 so I can't compare it directly. But, so far, I couldn't ask for a better performing gun.

Here's a video that covers all the high points better than I do. (Even though I disagree with his opinion on the ease of breaking it down) https://hooktube.com/3TVbr5BLiNk
