"What else is our life but a series of preludes to that unknown Hymn, the first and solemn note of which is intoned by Death?"

I thought that the core of Christianity is that through Jesus we can be resurrected to eternal life.

I don't think there are any Christians like that left in the United Kingdom. An Englishman would be embarrassed to assert anything so enthusiastic. Does that fit in a continuing Christian narrative? Or is it the final chapter?

I happen to know there are some great Christians in the United Kingdom, and I've been seeing a bunch of prophetic stuff recently that God is getting ready to do some pretty special stuff in the UK.

I pray that you are right. Our brothers in the UK are indeed in peril these days.

Very good post. I would add one thing: The "modernist" or even "progressive" "story" is the work of Satan. It is his alternative to the truth of Christianity, I think more and more people are beginning to understand where the story originates. It was in the garden of Eden: "Ye shall be as gods." Nope.

Excellent analysis, especially the first paragraph. Thanks for sharing this.
