I've done that for decades.
update: to clarify, I remember there was a show that might have been The Simpsons (back when they were funny) where a woman goes through a whole inner monologue (Marge maybe?) and then they go to Homer, and his inner monologue is just looping calliope music.
Then, I realized that almost everyone in life is Homer, and when I try to imagine what someone was thinking, calliope music starts playing in my head.

Eh, they can be aesthetically pleasing, and think about the time he may have spent woodworking with his sons, teaching them basic carpentry skills.
@elitch2 Couldn't agree more, when you get into that work flow and focus only on the moment, and then afterward, when you are physically exhausted and see the fruits of your labors, you get a sense of satisfaction that most will never understand.
