My theory is how the Canadian justice system appoints judges. There are no elected judges so that eliminates the need of judges trying to gain popular opinion support, and judges are selected mostly on their experience.
For example, even though many justices have been appointed by the Harper conservatives, one would assume they would be very biased like you see in the USA (Scalia is a good example), but the Canadian judges appear to be more objective, independent and base their judgments on law.
Blaming google for search results would be like blaming the librarian for bringing you the books you asked for. Good on the Canadian judicial system for not having a stick in their assholes.
