What are the other books you want me to read?

The KJV Bible. NOT the NKJV or the NIV.

Dr. Martin Luther's work, as well as the work of many martyrs went into the translations that lead up to the KJV. Seriously start with the Old Testament to ensure you have a strong foundation on who God is, and what the Laws of Moses are (including all the Commandments hint: there are way more than 10).

With that foundation then proceed to the Gospels. With the knowledge of the Old Testament you will understand how Jesus Christ was the heir to the jew King David's throne hint: it's not by the genealogies in the Gospels.

By the end of the KJV you'll understand who "jews" really are, and why Jesus Christ preached against them.

Since you're Christian you should read what helps you to understand your religion.

Since I'm not Christian you'll have to pick it out yourself.

Example of the knoledge you'll gain:

That I don't believe in Christianity doesn't mean I know nothing about it and you should know it better since you are.

Its a historical fact that Constantine, after converting to Christianity, allowed the building of a Synagogue in what is now Cologne Germany in 321AD. Some years after its construction Germanic pagans swept through the area and destroyed it, but once the lands came back under Frankish rule it went back into operation, around the mid 400s. "We allow all town councils to appoint through general law, Jewish people in the Curia. To give them a certain compensation for the previous rules" - Codex Theodosianus, 439AD
