If it worked like the article says, it would be awesome.

However, the powers that be would most likely uses this sell toothpaste and find out who has thoughts that don't fit the narrative.

The holy grail for liberal fascists is to get inside our heads and be able to censor our thoughts.

No, they'll pretend they can do it. They'll convince people that their terminally ill parent who opted to live in the cloud is really them. How? They've got every search they ever made, including all voice searches, messages etc. They know all their family, friends, wishes, fears etc. No wonder people will believe them. These pretend, would be dead friends and relatives will say how everything is better in the cloud, that they can have everything they ever wished for, every desire no matter how bad that desire is legal in the cloud. You can be superman or spiderman if you like. Everything about it is better than the old analogue life.

Then they'll allow a select few healthy people to download their brains into the computer. They too will say how wonderful it is and how everyone should do it. It'll all be so convincing that even you will believe it's real. You'll save up your money and happily pay to download your brain. Then they'll plug you in, the lights will go out and that'll be the end of you. Sure a perfect simulation of you will be used to convince people you know to join you. You'll be stone cold dead.

It'll be the biggest mass murder in the history of the world, and you'll have queued up and paid to be murdered.

Honestly that's normal I don't know why these media giants can't find any experts who aren't on drugs. I can't remember the last time these "experts" were right about something.

Does anyone else think the “superbrain” idea seems more likely to result in the Borg than in some sort of communal nirvana superpower?

If big tech abuses users over the regular internet, imagine what they'll do if they can get in your head

2019-04-12 | Scientists say our brains will connect to computers in decades to form the 'internet of thoughts' | Daily Mail Online

"Forward-leaning scientists and researchers say advancements in society's computers and biotechnology will go straight to our heads — literally."

'Though functional, networks like BrainNet are are still rudimentary compared to what researchers say will likely exist in the future. '

'In recent experiments, researchers have already demonstrated the capability to conjoin human brains in collective tasks in what they call BrainNet. '

'Using a combination of nanotechnology, artificial intelligence, and other more traditional computing, researchers say humans will be able to seamlessly connect their brains to a cloud of computers to glean information from the internet in real-time. ', "A network of brains could also help form what they call a 'global superbrain' that would allow for collective thought."
