Yeah, I know. In my case, I signed the contract that it was session work for immediate pay - except for a few times and those albums didn't do well. I got a few royalty checks, oddly for a rap album that I did a riff for and they looped it. Then, those guys all went to prison or died or something.

He got paid at the time and of course still gets paid. The guy is on so many records, it’s astounding. Do you have a music collection? Is that something people even have anymore? If you do, I’d wager much money that he is on at least one album you own.

I have a vast collection of physical media. I'm pretty sure he's on one and I don't even know who he is.

I have thousands of records, thousands of cassette tapes, and thousands of CDs. Granted, the first two categories are mostly in storage - but I have them.
