Normies only give a fuck about the dopamine rush and instant gratification of low effort content that's easy to consume.
Oh God, I'm a Voat normie.

Meh, they are not used to institutionally rejected knowledge (even though they will say all day long "everyone has a right to think and communicate").
When they encounter it, I think a lot of them want it but have been conditioned to turn away. With the constant narrative re-hashing inccesantly, even many smart ones turn away because of practical liability in their lives for being "racist" etc.
Laziness may factor in, but It is way more deeply engrained by contemporary social engineering....I bet the niggers, and mexicans devised it.

In fairness there's been quite a lot of research into that dopamine rush you refer to, and it's fairly easy to manipulate people if you know how. Most people don't have any kind of defence against it at all, particularly until you unplug from MSM. If you've got propaganda assaulting your eyes an ears all day long, it's difficult to resist, perhaps almost impossible.
I would hazard a guess, that most here have unplugged (personally about 9 years now). Straw poll anyone?

Both of those qualities are veyr prevalent in niggers, unlike the white neanderthal that delayed gratification.

Facebook and such are programmed to be extremely addicting. Many soft minded people just can’t help themselves

Finding the truth turned me in to a racist, sexist, PoS. The truth breaks the egalitarian painting so most prefer to ignore it. As someone I don't remember the name of said...
How do you prevent harsh realities of life? By forever living in an illusion.

Facebook killed all the "let's search internet for some random stuff, or what's happening in, let's say... Macedonia!"
Actually, it's human biology. Pretty much obsolete.

To sum it up simply: "thinky pain"
People don't want to think or test their presumptions as it is scary and even worse could mean they are wrong, they would rather just be told what to think and pretend it is an opinion.
