I don't think it's being gay that's a sin, it's identifying yourself as being gay that is sinful. Any self identifying that involves baseness is sinful. Like if you ask an artist "what are you?" and instead of them saying "I'm an artist" they say "I'm gay". That's the sin.
God gives everyone a gift. As an example. If you ask a blind man the same question it's extremely rare for them to say "I'm a blind man", in fact the blind are far more likely to have a whole list of things that come much higher in the list than being blind.
Similarly, any accomplished person when asked the same question will put their accomplishment much higher than their race or sexuality. Skin colour and sexuality are not important if you've accomplished something.
The trick is to get people consumed by these base identities. If someone identifies as being black, or gay first they will never accomplish anything they'll be trapped by a false, meaningless identity.
Now, religion is different. If you identify as a religion first, that puts you higher. The loftiest identity is that of a religious believer. You can slag off Muslims, Jews, Christians. Sikhs and Hindus all you like, but if you put any other identity before God you're a sinful little, snivelling cunt.
