Focusing too much on your streak and counting days can lead to demoralisation when you slip up. You will fail a few times during the battle, if you let it get to you hard, you may end up giving up entirely.

Personally, I feel the difference of when I edge. I still get the flood of brain chemicals that make me dull and unmotivated throughout the day, regardless if I cum. It's rubbing my dick that triggers it. I also feel it when I just watch porn and don't touch my dick, even soft porn like music videos.

Any kind of porn or touching my dick is a relapse imo, as I'm trying to rewire my brain chemistry, and this slows it down.

But 28 days is still great, a relapse is not setting you back to where you were before you started. You still have 28 days of progress under your belt, so not back to square one.

If it will help you not demoralise and stress about it, consider it not a relapse and continue counting from day 28, just make sure not to edge again. The ends justify the means in this case, so best not be too autistic with tracking your progress.

personally im not too into the nofap idea. porn is the issue more than anything.

but on topic, pretty much as i said before. if you're going to do it, you might as well do it for the purpose of mental self-betterment. edging means you "broke" essentially. weather or not you cum doesn't really do anything imo, unless you believe muh zinc fags.
